Tour Conducted by House Docents
Experience the historic family home of Edsel Ford, the only son of Henry Ford, and his wife Eleanor. The house is located on a sprawling estate with beautiful grounds and gardens on the shore of Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Shores. It includes the historic residence-which we will tour as a group for approximately one hour-outbuildings, and 87 acres of grounds and gardens, which are available to you for an independent tour. The house should be especially beautiful this time of year as they will have some of their holiday decorations on display.
The new Visitor Center includes dining and shopping. Be sure to make reservations if you would like to enjoy lunch or a snack before or after your tour.
We will meet at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House, 1100 Lake Shore Rd, Grosse Pointe Shores, Ml 48236. Additional information and a map will be provided (to those who register) prior to the event.
